Under the general direction of the Revenue Cycle Supervisor, the Client Financial Services Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate collection of client payments as well as posting payments to the patient accounts. Setting payment plans and generating monthly statements. This position will be the main contact for patients in regard to questions about their balance, processing payments over the phone, if needed, and processing refunds for overpayments.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 Hourly
Shift: Full-Time, 1st shift

Responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
  • Enter client payments into the client’s account.
  • Apply client payment against the appropriate line items with an open balance.
  • Mail statements to clients and other funders monthly.
  • Field outgoing and incoming calls regarding questions related to a client’s balance.
  • Process refund requests.
  • Set up and track client payment plans.
  • Update accounts and submit information to Collection agency.
  • Advise Revenue Cyle team when an account needs changes or updates to billing information.
  • Additional duties and projects assigned by the Director and/or Managers.

Skills & Qualifications

Required:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge in spreadsheet creations using Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using Internet, e-mail systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and apply time management techniques.
  • Ability to provide quality customer service with emphasis on understanding/compassion, and knowledge with handling difficult clients.
  • Detailed oriented, well-organized, and able to be both a team player and work independently.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and courteous working relations with all EOSIS team members.

  • Vision           100%  Ability to see computer screen and written charts to  document outcomes and obtain data
  • Speaking      100%  Ability to speak to staff and reviewers
  • Sitting           6-8 hours per day
