Reporting to the Outpatient Manager of Clinical Administration, you will assist in providing direct oversight and support to Mental Health Professionals and other clinical staff as assigned. You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical services and fostering effective program development across our outpatient facilities. -Supporting staff development and training
-Providing direct client care, including assessments, admissions, group facilitation, individual sessions, and case management
-Supervising and mentoring clinical staff

Pay: $78,000 - $95,000 Annually

Responsibilities

This job is expected to complete the following functions. This is not an all-inclusive list. This job may be assigned other functions or tasks as business needs dictate. This is meant to be a general description of the most essential duties only.

Clinical Procedures

Assist in developing and maintaining a system for screens, assessments, and referrals for all patients.
Coordinate, maintain, and evaluate the effectiveness of assessments & referrals.
Evaluate program effectiveness and formulate plans for improvement and comply with any Performance Improvement Plans.
Coordinate the process for determining and maintaining accurate legal processes for clients.
Monitor treatment records for appropriate documentation of care.
Ensure an adequate system of communication and reporting is maintained with referents and continuing care resources.
Communicate on a regular and timely basis with other members of the management team.
Report any unsafe conditions or patient concerns to the Director.
Advocate for the best interests of individual clients.
Interact with clients and other staff in an ethically and legally appropriate manner.
Attend mandatory facility in-services and staff development activities as scheduled.
Provide legible, written documentation of client notes/ progress in the EHR system and must be completed by program and DHS regulations.

Clinical Supervisor

Work with the Director to implement program policies, procedures, and act as a resource to staff.
Develop staffing schedules in accordance with client needs/acuity for clinical service staff.
Ensure all clinical staff are evaluated annually, and as needed, according to personnel policies.
Provide leadership and direction to clinical and support staff in accordance with program goals and objectives.
Conducts disciplinary actions when indicated. Consult with Human Resources when required.
Continually evaluate the activities, morale and task group functioning of the clinical staff and promote methods to improve these areas.
Ensure monthly chart audits are being completed and assess follow up that is needed.
Work with the Director to provide education, orientation, and in-services for the program staff when opportunity to improve clinical knowledge is identified.
Ensure an adequate system of communication and reporting is maintained between all staff members.
Responsible for onboarding new hires with documentation and trainings.
Participates in the recruitment process for new Clinical staff members.
Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between staff.
Report any unsafe conditions or concerns to the Director.

Skills & Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age and must be free of substance use problems for at least two (2) years immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact.
Must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree and two years of work experience in administration or personnel supervision in human services.
Must hold a LPCC, LICSW, LP, LMFT, LADC or equivalent license to practice by the State of Minnesota.
Must have at least one (1) year of work-related experience in direct service to individuals with substance use disorders or one year of work experience in the management or administration of direct service to individuals with substance use disorders.
Preferred experience: previous supervisory experience in a mental or behavioral health setting
Preferred Education: Master’s Degree specializing in Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy or Social Work. Completed minimum requirements for board approved clinical and ethical supervision.
Preferred Licensure: LADC and/or LPCC, LPC, LICSW, LP or equivalent license to practice by the State of Minnesota.

Knowledge of:

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual V (DSM-V) Diagnostic Criteria for substance use disorders
The requirements of Minnesota Statutes 245G, Minnesota Rules 9530.6510 to 6590 and Minnesota Statutes chapters 245A and 245C, and sections 253B.04, 253B.05, 626.557, and 626.5572; 42 CFR, Part 2, and other applicable state and federal regulatory requirements.
State and Federal law regarding confidentiality of alcohol and drug treatment records and HIV testing/status including 42 CFR, part 2
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
Business and office practice/procedures
Healthcare industry, especially substance abuse and mental health services
Technology proficiency with various software packages including EHR/EMR and keyboarding skills
Continuous quality improvement

Physical Requirement
