Pay: $62,000 - $80,000 / year

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation:- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field required.
- Must be licensed by the State of Utah as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC, or licensed as a certified professional working toward one of these licenses.
Experience:- Minimum of two years of experience in inpatient, outpatient, and/or mental health care involving child and/or adolescent treatment.
- Thorough knowledge of emotionally disturbed children and adolescents.
- Strong clinical skills in individual, group, and family therapy intervention techniques.
- Working knowledge of educational, psychological, family, and social work systems as they relate to special education and behavioral treatment.
Certifications & Training:- Current CPR certification required.
- Current First Aid certification required.
- Must complete the EOSIS Elevations & Seven Stars milieu module training and certification course.
- Must complete the EOSIS Elevations & Seven Stars Clinical Competency Program covering relevant job responsibilities, progressive interventions, therapeutic holds, and emergency special treatment procedures.
- Must complete 10 hours of in-service training annually, including 8 hours focused on the prevention and/or proper initiation and use of Progressive Intervention Procedures.
- Must complete annual recertification on Progressive Intervention Procedures, including 3 hours of didactic training and 1 hour of practical training.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:- Thorough knowledge of the organization and administration of a residential treatment center, facility standards and regulations, and laws applicable to mental health treatment.
- Thorough working knowledge of the adolescent treatment program and skill in implementing the clinical applications of all program components.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate-level PC skills required.
- Ability to coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams, families, referral sources, school officials, and payer sources.
- Strong documentation, case management, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and respond professionally during stressful or time-sensitive situations.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS- Successful completion of required state background checks.
- Candidates are initially hired as Clinical Therapist Trainees and may not have student contact while state background checks are processing.
- Completion of assigned training requirements during the trainee period.
- Once the state background check is returned and cleared, the title transitions to Clinical Therapist and floor shadowing may begin.
- Verification of education, licensure, certifications, employment history, and other applicable credentials.
WORKING CONDITIONS/WORKING REQUIREMENTSPhysical Requirements:- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, and grasp as needed.
- Ability to run, including the ability to run a distance of 400 meters in 2 minutes or less.
- Ability to perceive object attributes such as size, shape, temperature, and texture by touch.
- Ability to communicate detailed or important spoken instructions accurately, including quickly and loudly when needed.
- Ability to hear and perceive detailed information through oral communication, with or without correction.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects as required.
- Visual acuity, with or without correction, sufficient to complete administrative and clerical tasks and visually observe students on the unit and during therapeutic activities.
Work Environment:- Residential treatment center environment serving adolescents with emotional, behavioral, clinical, educational, and family-system needs.
- Frequent interaction with students, families, referral sources, clinical staff, direct care staff, school officials, payer sources, and multidisciplinary treatment team members.
- Role requires flexibility, emotional stability, sound judgment, strong professional boundaries, and the ability to manage complex cases and changing priorities.
